Rebranding for eco-build educator Domegaia.
Domegaia hosts dome-building workshops across the globe, teaching participants how to construct alternative dwellings using eco-friendly, affordable materials. While their mission was inspiring, the brand’s existing logo and identity no longer reflected the sophistication, spirituality, and geometric harmony of their work. The challenge was to redesign the visual identity in a way that honored the company’s ethos while creating a system that could scale across both digital and print platforms.
Domegaia is dedicated to helping people build more intentional lives by teaching dome-building workshops around the world. Their instructors guide participants in creating alternative dwellings using proprietary systems and eco-friendly materials—structures inspired by both innovation and sacred geometry.
I was tasked with redesigning the brand’s visual identity to better capture this mission. The new logo evolved from the original mark into a simplified, modern depiction of Gaia, while incorporating geometric forms that reflect the harmony and structure found in Domegaia’s domes. This rebrand created a more versatile system that could scale across digital and print platforms while staying true to the company’s spiritual and ecological ethos.
Challenge
Process
I began by researching Domegaia’s core values – community, sustainability, and sacred geometry – and identifying the visual language that could express these ideas. The original logo was simplified into a cleaner, more versatile mark, while evolving the depiction of Gaia to better align with the brand’s eco-conscious and spiritual narrative. I refined the geometry to echo the structural patterns found in Domegaia’s domes, ensuring the logo felt both grounded and symbolic. Alongside the logo, I developed supporting brand elements that could flex across digital channels, workshop collateral, and merchandise.
Outcome
The new identity delivered a modernized yet meaningful visual system that reinforced Domegaia’s position as a leader in sustainable alternative building. By balancing clarity with symbolism, the brand was able to better communicate its mission, attract a wider audience, and present a professional, cohesive identity that matched the global reach of its workshops.
